USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology – a cradle of talents in elderly services

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, University of Southern California (“USC”) was founded by the Methodist Church in 1880. It is the oldest private research university in California. USC is one of the most competitive universities in the United States and was ranked no. 23 in 2013. The USC is also one of the few universities that has two engineering research centers (ERCs) funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) – an Integrated Media Systems Center (IMSC) that focuses on network and multimedia, and a Biomimetic MicroElectronic Systems (BMES) Center. Arieh Warshel, who received Nobel Prize in Chemistry for 2013, is a Distinguished Professor of USC.
